Jodie and Stefan's BIG Vacation in Ohio

I should have posted these in reverse order, so start at the bottom of the block I posted and go up! (jc)

The first one is at a Mud Hens baseball game-- the Midwest loves their baseball! The 2nd one-- well, that says it all! That's my husband's appetite. No wonder we're poor.:) The 3rd is the preferred mode of transportation around Put In Bay-- we took a ferry there and then rode this golf cart that went about 10 miles per hour. Good thing the island isn't that big. (jc)
Stefan cutting down the tree! I think this was one of his favorite parts of the trip-- if it was all up to him, I think we'd be living a little town in Middle America where people don't even know where Romania is!
So, Stefan and I (if you can't tell from the picture who we are) just got back from a fun-filled trip to Ohio. I know you all (except Alison) weren't too thrilled about the Ohio trip idea and neither was I, but we have some friends from there who invited us to go with them and it was a blast. Cedar Point really was awesome-- although, I left nauseous! We jet-skied on Lake Erie, went to Put In Bay island as seen in this picture, swam, played racquetball.... Stefan fished, cut down a tree and lit off fireworks-- us city folks just yearn for good old redneck fun sometimes.:) Anyway, here's a few more pictures! I miss you all! (jc)

5 Minute Laughter

Hey Girls--- I think we've all be initiated into the 5 minutes of laughter club. If not, let me know and I'll clue you in. Anyway, if you are ever having a hard day and need to do your 5 minute exercise but have no one to help you out then just click on this link and I'm sure Doug will keep you laughing. (The beginning and the end---and the middle of the skit is actually pretty stupid but Doug's laugh cracks me up.) It's 8 minutes long so if this old man can keep it going that long then we have no excuses why we can't! http://www.glumbert.com/media/laugh JW

Great idea

We have had our share of BAD ideas...jumping into complete strangers car only to break it later... but this is such a great idea!! Thanks, Jilly. It sounds like you all had a great weekend...wish I could have been there! Love to you all! (aj)

The Start of Something New

I've decided to start our own Mansion-Jefferson Family blog! This past weekend was so much fun and I don't want to wait until next year to get all caught up again. Especially because 2 of our sweet sisters weren't able to be there. I know this won't be the exact same but it's better than nothing right? However, in order to make this happen, you're all going to have to help. I thought this could be a fun way to keep in touch and share the fun things that are happening to us on a more updated basis. I'll be emailing each of you instructions on how to post just in case you've never done this before (it's a first for me too). Remember, this is OUR blog, not mine. All will have access and passwords to update, post, and modify however we want to. Enjoy! (JW)

Annual Girls Weekend Out

This past weekend was our 1st Annual Girls Weekend Out (I guess I should say "in" because we didn't leave the house until 5 pm on Saturday!) For those who couldn't make it, we have decided to do a yearly girls weekend and rotate the location to one of the girl's homes. Mark your calendars for next year's Fun in the Sun in Southern California with Lisa! We will get together in February over President's Day Weekend. Also, the big trip has been postponed to August of 2010. Yes, that sounds like a ways out but we want to give everyone the time to get their men graduated, budget, and plan ahead so we can hopefully have everyone there.

It was so fun to catch up on the news, laugh until we cried, and give Erika the 411 on her honeymoon night. Erika, I must say, I was IMPRESSED! You have come a long way from the last talks we had for Jodie almost 2 years ago. There was hardly even blushing. Big eyes ... Yes, Head buried in the pillow .... Yes, but you stayed in the room the whole time and even asked questions! What a transformation!

Kelli, thank you so much for opening your house to all of us. However, I'm not going to thank you for being such a gracious host. Homemade breakfast each morning, freshly washed sheets for us all. You set the bar so high that it pretty much guarantees failure for me when Austin is the destination. So thanks a lot! :) (JW)

Mrs. Quaife

Congrats Erika! I just got your announcement--it's adorable. Only 12 more days! (JW)

A Smile to Come Home To

I came home to the cutest face last night and just thought I'd post it. Luke absolutely LOVES the tub!
(I also posted this to give you an example of the little things that make the blog fun---it doesn't have to be a huge announcement or a drastic life altering story in order to post :) (JW)
