The Start of Something New
I've decided to start our own Mansion-Jefferson Family blog! This past weekend was so much fun and I don't want to wait until next year to get all caught up again. Especially because 2 of our sweet sisters weren't able to be there. I know this won't be the exact same but it's better than nothing right? However, in order to make this happen, you're all going to have to help. I thought this could be a fun way to keep in touch and share the fun things that are happening to us on a more updated basis. I'll be emailing each of you instructions on how to post just in case you've never done this before (it's a first for me too). Remember, this is OUR blog, not mine. All will have access and passwords to update, post, and modify however we want to. Enjoy! (JW)
Annual Girls Weekend Out

This past weekend was our 1st Annual Girls Weekend Out (I guess I should say "in" because we didn't leave the house until 5 pm on Saturday!) For those who couldn't make it, we have decided to do a yearly girls weekend and rotate the location to one of the girl's homes. Mark your calendars for next year's Fun in the Sun in Southern California with Lisa! We will get together in February over President's Day Weekend. Also, the big trip has been postponed to August of 2010. Yes, that sounds like a ways out but we want to give everyone the time to get their men graduated, budget, and plan ahead so we can hopefully have everyone there.
It was so fun to catch up on the news, laugh until we cried, and give Erika the 411 on her honeymoon night. Erika, I must say, I was IMPRESSED! You have come a long way from the last talks we had for Jodie almost 2 years ago. There was hardly even blushing. Big eyes ... Yes, Head buried in the pillow .... Yes, but you stayed in the room the whole time and even asked questions! What a transformation!
Kelli, thank you so much for opening your house to all of us. However, I'm not going to thank you for being such a gracious host. Homemade breakfast each morning, freshly washed sheets for us all. You set the bar so high that it pretty much guarantees failure for me when Austin is the destination. So thanks a lot! :) (JW)
